Re: Active & up to date change log in this forum for BI software updates

I can't say for the main download file, but I can give a good reason why not to put a version in the filename for the update file: The auto-update function only needs to query or download "update64.exe" to check for a new version. But if the name changed with the version, it wouldn't know what filen...

Re: Blue Iris won't update, can't connect

Looks like the non-updated system fixed itself on the afternoon of March 9 and updated. Thanks for the confirmation and/or passing the issue up the chain for a fix.

Feature request: Smart video truncation/deletion with smart alerts

I am doing a lot of BlueIris installs for security systems, and I am finding that, especially with outdoor cameras, that I have to set the motion detector to rather low sensitivities to avoid false triggers. Unfortunately, this often means that if someone is still at the scene but isn't moving a lot...

Re: Auto tracking

I would like to see a autotracking option. I have a camera that natively supports autotracking, but i would be nice to have blueiris auto zoom and step the motor when motion is detected +1 Me too! For example, I have a camera watching a driveway from the corner of the house. If someone walks from t...

Re: Feature Request - Substreams

I propose that the camera configuration comes with a way to specify both a main stream and a substream. The software would then optionally use the low-bitrate substream for motion detection and perhaps streaming to the UI, while recording and pulling alarm images from the high-bitrate main stream. ...

Re: More of a Firefox question than BI

Most likely caused by Firefox's prefetching feature, where it anticipates pages you're going to view and preemptively opens a connection to that server to reduce the load time. about:config -> network.prefetch-next
