Does BI support Xiaomi Dafang camera?

Although you can find a list of tested and supported cameras at blueirissoftware.com/Technology, this is a good spot to share or inquire about what cameras have been most successful with Blue Iris for you with other users.

The Dafang needs more tweaking though to get the PTZ working though.
Hello friend,

PTZ of DafangHacks work for you in Blue Iris ? Can you give please, your settings ? Two login user / passwords are the same for you ?

I have found pieces of solutions but nothing work at this time for me.
Hello,

I dont understand this: Two login user / passwords are the same for you ?

No, i have not gotten the PTZ working or any other commands either. I use it XiaoFang's settings for now and at least i get the video stream. Some on the the hack forum asked if Blue Iris have configuration files for mapping their commands to camera api? Maybe some here can point me in the right direction.

With Dafang Hacks, there is a login / pwd for the web access and another login / pwd for the video stream.

The video stream use the port 8554 and the web access (who support also ptz) use the port 80 (http) redirected to (https) which is theoretically port 443.

Something like this : https://192.168.96.144/cgi-bin/action.c ... up&val=100 (replace the IP with yours)
work fine directly in the browser (after passing the web identification), but how to explain that to BI ?

With tinyCam Monitor android app, ptz work fine, it indicates that it is possible...

It seems that nothing comes out, as soon as we define the port 443 associated with the PTZ in Blue Iris.

And as no one seems interested in solving the problem, I think abandon the idea of acquiring Blue Iris and settle for tinyCam Monitor Android.

Have you contacted BlueIris support about this? If not, click the 'Email Support now' button in the BI Options/About page. Then, paste it into an email and send. Let them know your 'Evaluating' the software for use with your cameras before purchasing.

Hi all!

I have the Dafang hacked working but i still have issues with the PTZ, because as you said it's difficult to add credentials in BI.

Just fyi, in iSpy i finally found how to get PTZ to work and username and pwd are needed, indeed, and https with port 443 also.

I tried here in BI many configurations but none seems to work, even the "use another ip/port" with "https://username:password@cameraip:443", which should be the correct one.
Other thing, i used Wireshark to sniff the BI's output URL and it's always "http://ipcamera/cgi-bin/action.cgi?cmd=motor_right", per example, which is strange.
It's obvious that the camera won't move, as credentials are not given.

I hope we can find a solution!

ps: i wrote an email to the support, hope they will answer.

Hey,
the support replied to me that 4.8.1.5 release should have https checkbox on the PTZ tab, so with the 443 port we should be able to move the Dafang.
Yay!!

What settings did you finally settle on to control the PTZ?

I have tried every combo I can think of.
I setup the camera using the root credentials instead of the RTSP.
Custom HTTP with Use another ip/port checked and CAMERAIP:443 with HTTPS checked
My PAN LEFT is setup as /cgi-bin/action.cgi?cmd=motor_left

This all use to work before I upgraded my camera firmware and they implemented 443

Thanks!
