Feature request: Motion speed trigger

Post by marklyn » Thu Nov 08, 2018 1:16 am

I'd like to see an additional trigger that uses the Min object size with the object detection (object travels) in the form of some type of "motion speed".
I've tried a number of things to stop triggers from a random moth or bird flying by.
But if something moves quickly across the screen, maybe there is a way to filter that such that it won't trigger (based on speed, size and length of path across the view area).
I don't know how it can be done, not even sure if I'm explaining it good enough.

Have you tried increasing 'Min. duration'? Even .5 seconds works well. I've done this for the reasons you listed, and it reduced most of them.

Yes, I've tried different variations but still get regular flybys from insects.

Can you post a video or two of the motions? This will give us a better.

Shortened and resized... but here is the offending bug. Usually they are much faster flybys.

I've gotten those also. Increasing 'Min duration' to .5 got rid of most of them. Try .8 to 1.5.
