Could this forum be modified that only Users who have purchased the software be allowed to post?
Prospective Users could read, but not post. Too much spam occurs.

That would be great, something needs to be done to limit the spam.

There are ways to make it more difficult that bots will not be able too post... By requiring a Captcha of some type.
I, and others, have suggested this to BI. But, their response is that they will deal with it on a post-by-post basis!

These posts(attacks) are to blatant to be serious! Fake counterfeit money & passports! Really. Who's stupid enough to respond to that?
I suspect their coming from someone who dislikes this forum!

Some are so blatant that I doubt the goal is even to attract users to click them. I am starting to think the posters are just trying to get hyperlinks into search engines or something.

It's gotten so bad the past week to make this forum almost unusable.
Good job to the creep who is doing this.

the solution is REALLY simple - make the users first couple of posts need approval before they are published.

if the post is spam, the user is deleted
is the post is genuine, the post if published

I've ran and hosted a forum this way for many years...and users never got to see any spammy posts. even if this is only done once every 24hours, it will take max 5mins...
